At our first event, in collaboration with the esteemed team at AON, we brought together Reward professionals from across Melbourne to delve into a range of topics.
Jairus Ashworth set the stage by dissecting how CPI has been a driving force behind the Cost of Living crisis. Despite inflation showing signs of easing, the price of chocolate continues to soar, highlighting the complex dynamics at play! Following this, Rebecca Zhang delved into the realm of executive remuneration, shedding light on the challenges faced by Australian organizations in crafting innovative Long-Term Incentive plans, often resorting to a herd mentality rather than pioneering new approaches. Sylvia Lim then explored the recent findings on gender pay gaps and emphasized the potential of pay transparency in boosting both employee morale and candidate satisfaction. Finally, Jairus captivated the audience with his run down of the latest ‘Jobbies’, where he informed us all of the most creative and funniest job titles around the world!
Our second event, in collaboration with Pinsent Masons, brought together Senior HR professionals to explore “The Changing Face of the Australian Workplace” and to update us on a broad range of workplace legislation changes. Led by Ben McKinley, Partner at Pinsent Masons, the session provided invaluable insights into recent legislative changes impacting Australian workplaces. From staff engagement to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), from the right to disconnect to pivotal legal cases, the discussion illuminated the evolving landscape of workplace dynamics in Australia.
Our thanks to Aon and Pinsent Masons for their insights and collaboration.
