This week, I co-hosted a group of Chief People Officers from a range of sectors at Barrenjoey’s lovely head office. We were fortunate to have Jonathan Pease and Nick Tucker from We Are Unity run a workshop from JP’s Winning The Room series, to help us improve our storytelling and presentation skills.
The art of storytelling is critical in building true engagement, and their insights provided some simple but effective systems, techniques and tips. Highlights included the two different approaches of ‘Winding Road’ or ‘Build Back’, and a personal favourite for me were 2 of JP’s personally crafted techniques: ‘PERP’ and ‘Tight Loose’!
