The Role
Lead a newly established talent acquisition team dedicated to recruiting technical roles for Snowy Hydro’s generation business
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement a targeted talent acquisition strategy for the Generation business unit, overseeing end-to-end recruitment for technical roles, aligning with Snowy Hydro’s workforce transformation goals, and collaborating with stakeholders to build proactive talent pipelines and sourcing strategies.
- Champion a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely communication, transparency, and respect for all applicants.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Recruitment Consultants by promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, setting clear performance expectations, providing regular feedback, and recognising achievements.
- Monitor and analyse key talent acquisition metrics, prepare reports for senior leadership, and utilise data insights to drive continuous improvement in processes and strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Generation business unit, including senior leaders and hiring managers, while collaborating with them to develop and execute targeted campaigns that showcase Snowy Hydro’s unique employee value proposition to technical talent.
This role is available in Canberra or Cooma
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related area.
- Demonstrated experience in a talent acquisition leadership role, with a focus on recruiting technical talent in a competitive market.
- Deep understanding of talent acquisition best practices, including sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding, particularly for technical roles.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
- Data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to leverage talent acquisition metrics to inform strategy and process improvement.
- Proven ability to develop and execute targeted talent acquisition strategies that deliver results.
