THE ORGANISATION
Snowy Hydro is a leader in clean energy generation and a vital force in Australia’s renewable landscape, managing the Snowy Mountains Hydro-electric Scheme, gas, and diesel assets and an expanding wind and solar portfolio. The organisation is going through a once-in-a-generation organisational restructure, including a major revamp of its People & Culture function. As they strive to meet Australia’s energy demands sustainably, their people remain at the heart of their success. There is a real sense of values and purpose to working here, with the opportunity to be part of empowering Australia’s energy future while shaping an inclusive, innovative workplace.
THE ROLE
With a significant HR Transformation underway, including the hiring of several key HR Leadership positions, this is an exciting opportunity to develop and lead a top-class Talent Acquisition function. The existing team has approximately 15 people in it, but that will grow so it is expected that you will have led a reasonable size TA team previously across multiple locations.
Through the development of key branding and hiring initiatives, you and your team will optimise the Snowy brand, and be one of the key players in building a high performing and engaged workforce.
You will be instrumental in embedding key technology platforms used for talent sourcing and be a thought leader on the most contemporary and innovative hiring approaches. This will be balanced by a pragmatic and can-do approach to 360 recruitment. The role will work closely with the Head of Strategic Workforce Planning and the Head of Employee Experience and Change.
You will be expected to travel in this role.
THE CANDIDATE
We are seeking a seasoned Talent Acquisition professional with a deep understanding of how to optimise a high-performing internal recruitment function. There will be a heavy emphasis on hiring technical talent in a very competitive market. Most of all we are looking for someone who possesses a highly innovative and forward thinking approach, and who has excellent leadership, coaching and team development skills.
Ideally you will have gained experience in a multi-site environment, with a blended workforce of white and blue-collar staff.
Experience in a similar role within a large organisation is highly desirable.
At Peoplecorp, we are dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in every recruitment process. We believe that a rich variety of perspectives drives innovation and success.
